NSUF Users Meeting in Conjunction with the 2019 ANS Student Conference

In conjunction with the ANS Student Conference, the Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF) will also hold its Users Organization meeting. The purpose of this meeting will be to give an overview of NSUF’s unmatched research capabilities found at facilities across the country at national laboratories, universities, and industry partners. Additionally, the Users Organization meeting provides the opportunity for students, scientists, and engineers to connect with other researchers interested in responding to NSUF’s yearly calls for proposals.

About the Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF)

The Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF) offers unparalleled research opportunities for nuclear energy researchers. Users, through a competitive peer-reviewed process, are provided access (at no cost to the researcher) to world-class nuclear research facilities, technical expertise from experienced scientists and engineers, and assistance with experiment design, assembly, safety analysis and examination.

Supporting the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy missions, most of the research looks at either understanding the mechanisms of radiation on materials and fuels to address the challenges of the aging current fleet of reactors or looks at materials and fuels for the next generation.
